Ballet and Tap Day
After the super day we had in May with our guest ballet teacher, Miss Pauline, we are hosting another ballet intensive workshop to focus on building technique and developing artistry to push students along on their exam journey. This half-term though we will be supporting this with a half-day dedicated to tap dance. Are you ready to step up your tap-dancing game and immerse yourself in the world of rhythm and movement? We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Tap Dance Workshop, and we invite you to be a part of this incredible experience.
Our younger students will take classes in:
- Ballet and tap technique
- Choreography and performance workshop
- Creative movement and discover the joy of creating rhythms
- Stretching and conditioning
Our older students will take classes in:
- Ballet and tap technique
- Choreography and performance workshop
- Discover the joy of creating rhythms
- Pointe preparation
- Character dance
Miss Emma holds the highest level of ballet qualification with the IDTA gaining 95% in this genre. She is also a Royal Ballet Inspired member and she is looking forward to working with the students to pass on her knowledge. Miss Emma is also renowned for her tap technique, receiving 96% in her Fellowship IDTA teaching qualification, as well as receiving an IDTA scholarship nomination for outstanding tap technique twice in her performance career.
Whether you're a seasoned tapper/ballerina or a beginner taking your first steps, we welcome you to join us for this incredible journey. Students will be split into ability groups and rotated around the teachers. Suitable for ages 7+ years through to adult.
09:00 - 12:00 - Ballet Day - Class 1
12:00 - 13:00 - Lunch
13:00 - 16:00 - Tap Day - Class 2
Students will swap styles after lunch which is provided by Starbrite.
