Ballet Day

Build technique and develop artistry. Focus on technique, choreography, creative movement, stretching and conditioning, pointe preparation, and character dance.

As we still play catch up from the years missed from attending live dance classes during lockdown as well as the numerous bank holidays, we are hosting a ballet intensive workshop to focus on building technique and developing artistry to support going back to live exams in July 2023 but also to push students along on their exam journey.

Our younger students will take classes in:

  • Ballet technique
  • Choreography workshop
  • Creative movement
  • Stretching and conditioning

Our older students will take classes in:

  • Ballet technique
  • Choreography workshop
  • Pointe preparation
  • Character dance

Miss Emma holds the highest level of ballet qualification with the IDTA, having gained an exam mark of 95% in this genre. She is also a Royal Ballet Inspired member and she is looking forward to working with the students to pass on her knowledge.

This workshop is open to all students who are already attending a weekly ballet class. Students will be split into ability groups and rotated around the teachers.

Full ballet uniform with hair in a bun to be worn to this workshop.

  • Prep to Grade 1 - ballet leotard, skirt, ballet socks/tights, ballet shoes
